Michel Saltzmann et sa femme Catherine Weiss étaient mes quatre arrière-grands-parents et mon trois arrière-grand-père, André Salzmann, est né au Haras en 1799. Je prévois de leur rendre visite lorsque mon mari et moi viendrons en Europe fin mai 2025.

Thank you very much, Katia! Michel Saltzmann and his wife Catherine Weiss were my 4xgreat-grandparents and my 3xgreat-grandfather, Andre Salzman, was born at Le Haras in 1799. I am planning to visit when my husband and I come to Europe in late May 2025.

I love reading more of the history of my own family, and the anabaptists, originally (I think) from Canton Aargau and Zurich (both sides of the family), then to what is now Parc Animalier near Sarrebourg. My GGF came to the US at age 17, about 1872 so I have never lived in France. However, I have visited 4 times and a large part of my heart will always be there. ❤
